March Product Update

In our continuous effort to refine Percy, this month's update have been centred not on introducing new features but on enhancing the web part consistency and the experience for content authors. We understand the importance of a seamless, intuitive environment that empowers you to create and manage your content efficiently and effectively.

Here's a look at the key improvements we've made:

Enhanced Content Author Experience:

  • Our icons have undergone a significant redesign to be more intuitive and consistent. This enhancement improves navigation and usability, helping you find the tools and features you need more quickly.
  • We've overhauled the names and descriptions of web parts within Percy to ensure clarity and ease of use. These changes are intended to make web part features more understandable, reducing the time it takes to get acquainted with Percy and increasing your productivity.
  • The property panes for editing web parts have been significantly improved. With a more streamlined layout and straightforward descriptions, these enhancements aim to facilitate a more efficient and understandable editing experience, allowing you to adjust settings with greater ease and understanding.

Under the Hood

We've addressed several bugs identified by our community of content authors. Your feedback is crucial in making Percy a more stable and reliable platform.

  • Fixed an issue where custom branding was not applied to the Recent Documents web part. Styles now correctly reflect branding.
  • We addressed an issue where the People Finder web part displayed a null result message when added to the page. This message is now correctly hidden when no results are found.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed booking beyond the set concurrency limit in the Resource Booking web part. Limits are now strictly enforced, ensuring room bookings adhere to specified restrictions.
